A place for contemplation, rest, and friendship

Rebecca’s Garden is a contemplative space that is open to all. It is an urban oasis for plants, animals, and people. It includes an olive grove and cloister, a network of paths, benches for rest and refreshment, and a labyrinth. The Garden was created and is maintained in a spirit of community where we are invited to walk, chat, read, meditate, gather, enjoy the quiet beauty of nature, and through it capture a glimpse of the presence of the Holy Mystery, which sustains us all.

By walking through the garden one is invited to experience the Wisdom of God as the reality that connects every reality; as the center around which the galaxy of all experiences rotate and are kept together.

It recognizes in each person's spiritual seeking a universal call to unity and fraternity manifested in the divine plan to "bring into one the whole in the Christ, both the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth." (Eph. 1:10)

We need a Christ at least as large as the universe we inhabit and much larger than the tribal religion most of us were born into. Allow yourself to be happily led there —Richard Rohr, O.F.M.
